ভাৰতীয় উপমহাদেশৰ ঐতিহাসিক জনগোষ্ঠী

কিৰাট বা কিৰাত (সংস্কৃত: किरात) পৰ্বতীয়া অঞ্চল বিশেষকৈ হিমালয় আৰু ভাৰতৰ উত্তৰ-পূৰ্বাঞ্চল অঞ্চলত বসবাস কৰা লোকসকলক বুজোৱা সাধাৰণ সংস্কৃত শব্দ। কিৰাটসকল মূলত চীনা-তিব্বতীয় গোষ্ঠীৰ অন্তৰ্গত আছিল বুলি বিশ্বাস কৰা হয়।[1][2] মধ্য হিমালয়ৰ কিৰাটসকল পূৱ নেপাল, ছিক্কিম আৰু ভাৰতৰ দাৰ্জিলিঙৰ লিম্বু, য়াক্‌খা, ৰায়, সুনুৱাৰ, ধিমাল আৰু লেপচা জনজাতি আৰু কাঠমাণ্ডু উপত্যকাৰ থলুৱা নেৱাৰ জনজাতিৰ এক মুখ্য অংশ।[3][4][5][6][7] কেতিয়াবা 'কিৰাট' শব্দৰ অৰ্থক কেতিয়াবা 'অৱনমিত, পাহাৰীয়া জনজাতি' বুলি কোৱা হয় আনহাতে আন পণ্ডিতসকলে এই শব্দটোৰ বাবে অধিক সন্মানীয় অৰ্থ দাবী কৰে। তেওঁলোকৰ মতে, কিৰাট শব্দয়ে সিংহৰ চৰিত্ৰ বহন কৰা লোক বা পৰ্বতবাসীক বুজায়।[8] অসমৰ বহু জনগোষ্ঠী কিৰাটসকলৰ বংশধৰ হিচাপে গণ্য কৰা হয়। প্ৰাচীন প্ৰাগজ্যোতিষপুৰত কেইবাজনো কিৰাট ৰজায়ে শাসন কৰিছিল।

ঐতিহাসিকভাৱে কিৰাটাসকলক প্ৰায়ে চীনাসকলৰ সৈতে উল্লেখ কৰা হয় আৰু এওঁলোক নিষধসকলতকৈ অলপ বেলেগ।[9] প্ৰথমে যজুৰ্বেদ আৰু অথৰ্ববেদত এওঁলোকৰ উল্লেখ পোৱা যায়। ভাষাবিদ সুনীতি কুমাৰ চট্টোপাধ্যায়ৰ মতে কিৰাট নামটো যিকোনো অ-আৰ্য আদিবাসী পাহাৰীয়া লোকৰ বাবে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা যেন লাগে। অৱশ্যে মনুৰ ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰ মতে তেওঁলোকক "অৱনমিত ক্ষত্ৰিয়" বুলি উল্লেখ কৰা হৈছে যাক চট্টোপাধ্যায়ে সামৰিক বা সভ্যতাত কিছু পৰিমাণে আগবাঢ়ি যোৱা আৰু সম্পূৰ্ণ বৰ্বৰ নোহোৱা লোকসকলৰ বাবে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা শব্দ বুলি অনুমান কৰে।[5] অনুমান কৰা হৈছে যে এই শব্দটো হৈছে তিব্বত-বৰ্মী জনজাতীয় নামৰ সংস্কৃতকৰণ যেনে পূৱ নেপালৰ কিৰাণ্ট বা কিৰাণ্টি জনজাতি।[5]

পেৰিপ্লাছত কিৰাটক কিৰ্ৰাদাই বুলি উল্লেখ কৰা হৈছে।[10] যিসকল প্লিনিৰ স্কাইৰাইট আৰু এলিয়ানৰ স্কিৰাতাইৰ দৰে একে লোক; যদিও টলেমীয়ে তেওঁলোকৰ নাম নলয়, তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ অঞ্চলৰ কথা উল্লেখ কৰে যাক কিৰাডিয়া বুলি কোৱা হয়। তেওঁলোকক তেওঁলোকৰ ধৰণে বৰ্বৰ বুলি চিহ্নিত কৰা হয় আৰু দেখিবলৈ মংগোলীয় অবয়বৰ আৰু তিব্বত-বৰ্মী ভাষা কোৱা লোক বুলি উল্লেখ কৰে।[11]

চেঁচাডাই বা চ'ছেয়াডে হিচাপে টলেমি আৰু প্লিনি দ্য এল্ডাৰৰ বাবে জনাজাত চেচটাইসকলে সুগন্ধি উদ্ভিদ মালাবাথ্ৰামৰ ব্যৱসায় কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকৰ বৰ্ণনাৰ সৈতে কিৰাডাইৰ বৰ্ণনাৰ মিল আছে। এই অনুসৰি তেওঁলোক চুটি আৰু সমতল মুখৰ, কিন্তু লগতে জপৰা চুলি যুক্ত আৰু বগা বৰণৰ।[12]

পৌৰাণিক কাহিনী সমূহে তেওঁলোকৰ ভৌগোলিক স্থিতিৰ ইংগিত দিয়ে। মহাভাৰতভীমে বিদেহাৰ পূবে কিৰাটসকলক লগ পায়। ইয়াতেই তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ ঘটোৎকচ জন্ম হয়। মহাভাৰতত সাধাৰণতে হিমালয়ৰ বাসিন্দাসকলক বিশেষকৈ পূব হিমালয়ৰ বাসিন্দাসকলক কিৰাট বুলি কোৱা হৈছিল।[13] সাধাৰণতে তেওঁলোকক "সোণৰ দৰে" বা হালধীয়া বৰণৰ বুলি উল্লেখ কৰা হয়। তেওঁলোক কৃষ্ণ বৰণৰ অষ্ট্ৰিক গোষ্ঠীৰ নিষধ বা দাসসকলৰ বিপৰীত আছিল।[14]

'যোগ বশিষ্ঠ'ত ৰামে কিৰাটেনেভা ভাগুৰাৰ বিষয়ে কয়, "কিৰাটসকলৰ দ্বাৰা স্থাপন কৰা এটা ফান্দ", সেয়েহে খ্ৰীষ্টপূৰ্ব প্ৰায় দশম শতিকাত তেওঁলোকক জংঘলৰ ফান্দ বুলি ভবা হৈছিল। তেওঁলোকে ঘূৰি ফুৰা হৰিণবোৰ ধৰিবলৈ গাঁত খনন কৰিছিল। একেটা পাঠত কিৰাটসকলৰ মুৰব্বী ৰজা সুৰাঘুৰ বিষয়েও কোৱা হৈছে যি পাৰস্যৰ ৰজা পৰিঘাৰ বন্ধু আছিল।

ধৰ্মীয় বিশ্বাস সম্পাদনা কৰক

কিৰাটসকলে শ্বামানবাদ পালন কৰে কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে ইয়াক "কিৰাট ধৰ্ম" বুলি কয়। কিৰাটসকলে কিৰাট মুন্ধুম ধৰ্মক অনুসৰণ কৰে। তেওঁলোকৰ পৱিত্ৰ পাঠ হৈছে মুন্ধুম।[15] কিৰাটসকলে প্ৰকৃতি আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ পূৰ্বপুৰুষসকলক উপাসনা কৰে। সৰ্বপ্ৰাণবাদ আৰু শ্বামানবাদ আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰাথমিক পূৰ্বপুৰুষ য়ুমা সমাং (সুম্নিমা/পাৰুহাং)ৰ ওপৰত বিশ্বাস তেওঁলোকৰ সাংস্কৃতিক আৰু ধৰ্মীয় আচৰণ। তেওঁলোকৰ কিছুমান উৎসৱৰ নাম হৈছে চাচোক টাংনাম, চাকেলা, টছি, ৱাছ, চাকেৱা, টছ, ৱাডাংমেট, পাপানি, চাকেনৱা, চোংলাৰাংমা, চালেলাদি ভুনমিদেভ, ইয়োকোৱা আৰু ফলচিয়াণ্ডাৰ। তেওঁলোকৰ দুটা মুখ্য উৎসৱ আছে: খেতিৰ বতৰত চাচোক টাংনাম আৰু চাকেলা/চাকেৱা উভৌলী আৰু শস্য চপোৱাৰ সময়ত চাকেলা/চাকেৱা উধৌলি।[16]

মুন্ধুম (পেইলান নামেৰেও জনাজাত) হৈছে নেপালৰ কিৰাট লোকসকলৰ ধৰ্মীয় শাস্ত্ৰ আৰু লোক সাহিত্য। এয়া কিৰাট মুন্ধুমৰ কেন্দ্ৰীয় শাস্ত্ৰ। মুন্ধুমৰ অৰ্থ হৈছে কিৰাণ্টি ভাষাত "মহান শক্তিৰ শক্তি।" [17] নেপালত বৈদিক সভ্যতাৰ আগত বিদ্যমান কিৰাট সংস্কৃতি, ৰীতি-নীতি আৰু পৰম্পৰাৰ বহুতো দিশ মুন্ধুমে সামৰি লৈছে।[18][19][20][21]

আধুনিক দৃষ্টিভংগী সম্পাদনা কৰক

চিলভেইন লেভিয়ে (১৯৮৫) এই সিদ্ধান্তত উপনীত হৈছিল যে কিৰাট হৈছে হিমালয় আৰু উত্তৰ-পূবৰ তিব্বত-বৰ্মী ভাষী গোটসমূহক মনোনীত কৰিবলৈ সমভূমিৰ হিন্দুসকলে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা এক সাধাৰণ শব্দ।[22]
