পোংগল

পোংগল (তামিল: பொங்கல், /ˈpoʊŋɡʌl/) অথবা থাই পোংগল (தைப்பொங்கல்) দক্ষিণ ভাৰতৰ ঘাইকৈ তামিল সকলে উদযাপন কৰা কৃষিভিত্তিক উৎসৱ।[1][2][3][4] তামিল দিনপঞ্জীৰ থাই মাহৰ প্ৰথম দিনা সাধাৰণতে ইংৰাজী জানুৱাৰী মাহৰ ১৪/১৫ তাৰিখে পোংগল উদযাপন কৰা হয়।[3][1][5] এই উৎসৱ সূৰ্য দেৱতাৰ প্ৰতি ধন্যবাদ জনাবলৈ পালন কৰা হয়।[6] মকৰ সংক্ৰান্তিৰ দিনা অনুষ্ঠিত এই উৎসৱৰ সময়ত ভাৰতৰ আন আন অঞ্চলত বিভিন্ন স্থানীয় আঞ্চলিক উৎসৱ উদযাপন কৰা হয়।[7][8][9] পোংগল তিনিদিনীয়াকৈ পালন কৰা হয়। এই তিনি দিনক ক্ৰমে 'ভোগী পোংগল', 'সূৰ্য পোংগল', আৰু 'মাটু পোংগল' বুলি কোৱা হয়।[7] পাৰম্পৰিক ঐতিহ্য অনুসৰি এই উৎসৱ শীতকালৰ সমাপ্তি আৰু সূৰ্যৰ ছমাহজোৰা যাত্ৰাৰ আৰম্ভণিক উদযাপন কৰিবলৈ পোংগল পালন কৰা হয়। এই সময়ত সূৰ্যয়ে মকৰ ৰাশিত প্ৰৱেশ কৰে। ইয়াক উত্তৰায়ন বুলিও কোৱা হয়।[10] পোংগল নামৰ আক্ষৰিক অৰ্থ হৈছে "উতলা, উপচি পৰা" আৰু এই নাম পোংগল উৎসৱত বিশেষভাবে তৈয়াৰ কৰা নতুনকৈ সংগ্ৰহ কৰা চাউলৰ পাৰম্পৰিক ব্যঞ্জনটো গাখীৰ আৰু চেনিৰে উতলাই দিয়া একে নামৰ মিষ্টান্ন ব্যঞ্জনৰ পৰা আহিছে।[10][3] এই উৎসৱত পোংগল মিষ্টান্ন ব্যঞ্জন প্ৰস্তুত কৰি প্ৰথমে দেৱ-দেৱীসকলক (পোংগল দেৱী) আগবঢ়োৱা হয়। কেতিয়াবা গৰুক আগবঢ়োৱাৰ পিছত পৰিয়ালৰ মাজত ভাগ-বতৰা কৰে। এই উৎসৱত তেওঁলোকে গৰু আৰু সিহঁতৰ শিং সমূহ সজায়, স্নান আৰু শোভাযাত্ৰা কৰে।[10][3][11] ই পৰম্পৰাগতভাৱে চাউলৰ গুৰিৰে ক'লাম নামৰ তামিল আল্পনা সজা, ঘৰত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰা, পৰিয়াল আৰু বন্ধুবৰ্গৰ সৈতে একেলগে মিলিত হোৱা আৰু একাত্মতাৰ সামাজিক বন্ধন নৱীকৰণ ৰখাৰ বাবে উপহাৰ প্ৰদান কৰাৰ এক অনুষ্ঠান।[5][12]
