Khoisnam Birola nominated as a member in Sahitya Akademi Advisory Board

Agartala 30 March,2023 : Poet Khoisnam Ongbi Birola,Tripura selected as a member in Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi for the tenure 2023-2027 in its meeting of General Council held on 29th March 2023 at Delhi. She is first woman member beyond Manipur whom selected in Advisory Board of Sahitya Akademi.

She is recepient of "Moirangthem Leihao Tembi Literary Award-2013" for her poetry book Praloygee Khutshokta conferred by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad,Tripura, "Kshetri Nalini Memorial Literary Award-2022" for her second poetry book "Imada iba Chithi" conferred by Kakching Sahitya Seva Samity, Manipur.Besides these she has been conferred with " Akhang Kanbi Meitei Leima Life Time Achievement Award" by Ipak Films Production, Imphal in recognition of her remarkable social services.

She is an active member of Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum,Tripura and acting as Editor of " Takhellei Nachom" literary journal publish by this institution.
