বিশ্ব বন্যপ্ৰাণী দিৱস প্ৰতি বছৰে ৩ মাৰ্চ তাৰিখে পালন কৰা হয়। ২০১৩ চনৰ ২০ ডিচেম্বৰত অনুষ্ঠিত ৰাষ্ট্ৰসংঘৰ ৬৮ তম অধিৱেশনত থাইলেণ্ডে আহ্বান কৰা আন্তৰ্জাতিক বিলুপ্তপ্ৰায় বন্য জীৱ আৰু উদ্ভিদৰ বাণিজ্য অভিবৰ্তনৰ বাবে ৩ মাৰ্চক বন্যপ্ৰাণী দিৱস হিচাপে ঘোষণা কৰা হয়।[1] বিশ্বৰ বনজ প্ৰাণী আৰু উদ্ভিদৰ সংৰক্ষণ তথা বন্যপ্ৰাণীৰ বিষয়ে সজাগতা সৃষ্টি কৰা এই দিৱসৰ মূল লক্ষ্য।

২০১৩ চনৰ ৩ মাৰ্চৰ পৰা ১৪ মাৰ্চলৈ থাইলেণ্ডৰ বেংককত অনুষ্ঠিত আন্তৰ্জাতিক বিলুপ্তপ্ৰায় বন্য জীৱ আৰু উদ্ভিদৰ বাণিজ্য (CITES) অভিবৰ্তনৰ বাবে ৩ মাৰ্চক ৰাষ্ট্ৰসংঘৰ সাধাৰণ সভায়ে বন্যপ্ৰাণী দিৱস হিচাপে ঘোষণা কৰে।[3] [4]
