১৭ শতিকাৰ মালাবাৰত তিভান আৰু কোৰাঁ নামৰ দুজন দাস পৰ্তুগীজ ব্যৱসায়ীৰ কবলৰ পৰা পূব দিশলৈ পলায়ন কৰি ৰাতি ভাৰতপুড়া নদীৰ পাৰত শিবিৰ পাতে আৰু তাতে এজনী যক্ষিণীয়ে কোৰাঁক হত্যা কৰে। তিভান পলাই গৈ এটা নাম্বুদ্ৰী ব্ৰাহ্মণৰ পৰম্পৰাগত গৃহ ‘মানা’ দেখা পায়।
