সুদৰ্শনৰ জন্ম কেৰালাৰ পালমত হৈছিল। তেওঁ এক খ্ৰীষ্টান পৰিয়ালত ডাঙৰ দীঘল হৈছিল যদিও পাছলৈ সেই ধৰ্ম ত্যাগ কৰে। তেওঁ ললিতা নামৰ এগৰাকী মহিলাক বিয়া কৰায় আৰু তেওঁ আলেকজেণ্ডাৰ,অৰবিন্দ(মৃত) আৰু অশোক নামৰ তিনি সন্তানৰ পিতৃ হয়।[2] তেওঁ নিজকে এগৰাকী বৈদিক হিন্দু বুলি কয়।[3] ভগৱানৰ বিষয়ে চ্চাৰ্চ্চৰ দৃষ্টিভংগীৰ লগত তেখেতৰ মতবিৰোধ হয় আৰু আধ্যাত্মিকতাৰ অভাৱ অনুভৱ কৰে। খ্ৰীষ্টান ধৰ্ম ত্যাগ কৰাৰ মূল কাৰণ হিচাপে এই কথাই সুদৰ্শনে কয়।[4][5]
