ভাৰত মহাসাগৰ (ইংৰাজী: Indian Ocean) হৈছে পৃথিৱীৰ তৃতীয় বৃহত্তম মহাসাগৰ। পৃথিৱীৰ মুঠ জলভাগৰ ২০ শতাংশ এই মহাসাগৰে অধিকাৰ কৰি আছে।[1] এই মহাসাগৰৰ উত্তৰে আছে ভাৰতীয় উপমহাদেশ; পশ্চিমে পূব আফ্ৰিকা; পূবে ইন্দোচীন, সুন্দা দ্বীপপুঞ্জ আৰু অষ্ট্ৰেলিয়া; আৰু দক্ষিণে আছে দক্ষিণ মহাসাগৰ (বা সংজ্ঞাভেদে এণ্টাৰ্কটিকা)। ভাৰত মহাসাগৰ হৈছে একমাত্ৰ মহাসাগৰ, যাৰ নামকৰণ কোনো দেশৰ (এইক্ষেত্ৰত ভাৰত) নামানুসাৰে হৈছে।[2][3][4]
ভাৰত মহাসাগৰ বিশ্ব মহাসাগৰৰ সৈতে আন্তঃসম্পৰ্কযুক্ত। ভাৰত মহাসাগৰৰ ঘনত্ব ২৯,২১,৩১,০০০ ঘন কিলোমিটাৰ (৭,০০,৮৬,০০০ ঘন মাইল)।[5] মহাসাগৰখনৰ মহাদেশীয় প্ৰান্তসীমাত বহুতো সৰু সৰু দ্বীপ অৱস্থিত। এনে প্ৰধান দ্বীপৰাষ্ট্ৰসমূহ হৈছে মাদাগাস্কাৰ (পৃথিৱীৰ চতুৰ্থ বৃহত্তম দ্বীপ), ৰিইউনিয়ন দ্বীপ, কোমোৰোজ, চেচেলেস, মালদ্বীপ, মৰিচাচ আৰু শ্ৰীলঙ্কা। ইণ্ডোনেছিয়া দ্বীপপুঞ্জ এই মহাসাগৰৰ পূৰ্ব সীমাত অৱস্থিত।
