১৯৮২ চনৰ ৩ ডিচেম্বৰ তাৰিখে ৰাজস্থানৰ যোধপুৰত মিতালী ৰাজৰ জন্ম হৈছিল। তেওঁৰ পিতৃ দৰাই ৰাজ আৰু তেওঁৰ মাতৃ লীলা ৰাজ। তেওঁৰ পিতৃ ভাৰতীয় বায়ু সেনাৰ এয়াৰমেন আছিল। তেওঁলোক তামিল সম্প্ৰদায়ৰৰ লোক। ১০ বছৰ বয়সৰ পৰায়ে তেওঁ ক্ৰিকেট খেলিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰে। ১৭ বছৰ বয়সত তেওঁক ভাৰতীয় মহিলা ক্ৰিকেট দলত বাছনি কৰা হয়। বৰ্তমান তেওঁ তেলেংগানাৰ ৰাজধানী হায়দৰাবাদত বাস কৰে।[16][17]
